Dear All:

 

In the last few years when I visit my beloved Egypt every winter. I hear lots of complains and see the level of services is going down. In the field of education, Health, Transportation, Human Relations ...and on  and on.

 

I wrote before about the peacful solution to all of our problems. These solution is simply the CHANGE OF THE GUARDS. If you feel that the current ones are performing what you want, then REELECT THEM and keep them for the next 5 years. We must do this at the VOTING POLLS on election day. This solution is followed in all democratic societies and proved to be the right way for many many years.

 

We all have the  resposibility to go and vote for the one we feel is the most suitable person. When we do not vote and for the right person we should not complain if we see all these problems and coruptions in our society.

 

Excersing your right is ALLAH giving one to you. When you do not use it to better the whole society, it is a guilt that you must live with  for the next 5 years and until you get another chance.

 

Some will say that election is already pre-determined, my vote will never make any difference..an so on. This is the core of negativity. All what you have to do is vote or do your part and you may cause the change you want. There is a  possibilty of improving our society, no matter how small,  when you vote and when you do not, it is a 100% zero possibility.

 

In my adopted country for the last 40 years, the USA, we elect local leaders, mayors of our cities, Police Cheifs, judges, School Boards, State Congressman, State Senators, Fedral Congressman and Senators and finaly the president. This makes the citizine to be the only responsible party responsible for the selection of his leaders from top to bottom. THIS WHAT THE FOUNDING FATHERS CALLED IT "GOVERNMENT FROM THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE. Ofcourse this is the result of over 200 years of democratic experience. In Egypt, we have just started and I'm very optimestic for our future generations.

 

It is the greatest feeling when you exercise your voting right.

 

May ALLAH guide all of us and our demcraticaly elected leaders to the right way of governing.
