THE MANNERS OF DEBATES

It is a known facts that we and all arabs are very poor debators.
 Dear All:

It is a very well known that we the arabs are very poor debators. We raise our voices and never give the opposing party time to finish his sentence. We always feel that we are right and every different opinion is wrong.

WHY IS THIS?.

My children who were born and educated here in the USA had course in Prep. and Seconday schools named how do you debates?.

I remember back in 1982, when Ariel Sharon of Israel inveded Lebonan and on a TV debate on a program called NIGHT LINE, between the Israeli and Labanese embassadors, the Israeli made a very false statement and as a result the Labaneses one got up and left. Actualy, the Israeli Embassador had all the needed time to explain his case without anyone to correct him.

I watch all the Egyptian Setillite Stations and also Al-Jazerah and I always notice that in a debate every one thinks that he is corrcet and never let the opposing party finish. I hear individuals cretisizing others in his abscenec on many TV programs.

We must respect all other opinions as long as it is in a manner that is polite and respected. We need to adopt the teaching of similar course in our schools so our children do not turn out to be like what I see and hear.

A wise one said that you learn when you talk and learn more when you listen. Also ALLAH SBHWTA created us with one mouth and two ears.

All the best.
